One skill that we can all develop further which will positively impact virtually every area of our lives is being a good listener. Author Mark Nepo challenges us with this insight, “To listen is to lean in, softly, with a willingness to be changed by what we hear.” This is not listening which is basically waiting for our turn to talk. This is not listening while clinging to our incomplete or inaccurate perspective. This is truly engaging with an open heart and an open mind.
