We went to the Van Gogh exhibit at the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg this weekend. The experience of being surrounded by projections of his stunning art accompanied by beautiful music and interspersed with excerpts from his journal was powerful and immersive. One of the many quotes that were memorable to me is, “What color is in a picture, enthusiasm is in life.”
Anything in life can turn into drudgery if we let it. Our work, our relationships, our hobbies – aspects of our lives that have brought us meaning and joy can become dull and lifeless. This does not need to be our fate, however, if we listen to our inner artist.
May we fill the canvas of our lives with vibrant colors by infusing the living of our days with heartfelt enthusiasm!
