Few emotions are more wonderful than joy. That incredible sense of well-being, happiness and contentment that sometimes surges through us in peak moments. It can leave us waiting and hoping for more! Author and teacher Thich Nhat Hanh made this insightful comment about joy, “Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy.”
So, we don’t have to wait around hoping for joy’s return. When we are intentional about seeing the beauty and blessing in our lives and choosing to smile about it, we can summon that sense of joy instead of waiting for it!
