Empath Partners in Care (EPIC) announced Feb. 8 that the organization has received its donation of $150,985.46 from The SMART Ride. EPIC officially became one of SMART Ride’s benefiting agencies ahead of last year’s 19th outing, a two-day, 165-mile trek from Miami to Key West Nov. 18-19. The organization has raised $14.95 million for nonprofits throughout Florida since 2003.
